Harbor Freight is okay for hoses, fittings, valves, and regulators. ![]() Which I use much more heavily and has required nothing but some oil. I replaced it with a 220v Craftsman unit from the early 80's. I have a smallish HF compressor that is currently broken, and waiting to be looted for parts. Parts and service will be much more available for "real" brands, and their reliability is much better. Buying a compressor is a big investment, not unlike buying a car If I were you I'd spend the extra 50 or 100 bucks on a decent one (Ingersol Rand, Campbell Hausfield, even a Craftsman or Husky) over Harbor Freight junk. Their air tools may be okay (I've been using an HF air drill for ages) but their compressors are historically rubbish. If I were you I would give the Harbor Freight compressor a miss.
